Quiet. Harry and the Natives has live music and seasonal parties, Sound Brewing hosts local events, and a few fish shacks have bands on weekends. For more, Jupiter and Stuart are each about 20 minutes away.
Meet people3
Better than you would guess for a small town. The weekend farmers market, the nature center, the historical society and the state park's guided walks give you plenty of ways in.
Peace and quiet4

On the water4
The Indian River Lagoon, the Loxahatchee River and Jupiter Inlet are all close. Boaters, anglers, kayakers and kiteboarders all have room here.
Beaches4
Hobe Sound Beach on Jupiter Island is clean and uncrowded with a lifeguard tower, and Blowing Rocks Preserve has limestone shelves where waves shoot up through the rock. Both are a few minutes over the bridge.
Dining and arts2
Small and local, with breakfast spots, casual seafood and a few nicer places. Jupiter has the bigger range about 20 minutes south.
